Know of anything more recent than Visibone?

Category javascript
Found something tonight that I thought might come in handy: it's the Visibone Browser Book. Having glanced through the inner workings of a few of the Javascript libraries that abound these days, it's become readily apparent that I don't know the first thing about the language. Well, okay, I guess that's not fair. I've picked up a few tricks here and there. But I'm realizing now that the W3Schools tutorial just isn't thorough enough. So I went hunting for something a bit more complete, and the Visibone materials look good. But I noticed that they haven't been significantly revised since August of '02. Anybody know of something similar that's a bit more current? Or would this be recent enough to tide me over until IE7 is in widespread use?
