Lake Tahoe is purty

I was in Reno all of last week at a client site. I was scheduled to come home yesterday, but they asked me to come back again next week. Rather than fly home for a day just to fly back again, I decided to hole up in Tahoe for the weekend. I'm glad I did... found a cute little inn for 30 bucks a night, spent part of this afternoon hiking. Mountains, forest, enormous lake... yeah, this is my kind of place.

UPDATE: In the past two hours, I've had a burger and shake at an In-N-Out in Carson City and driven through three state parks and a national forest. Life is good. And I heard "Hotel California" while actually in California, for the first time ever, which surprises me since I actually lived in Irvine for over a year. Oh, and in the "doesn't happen every day" category, I nearly ran over both a raccoon and some lady in a wedding dress, both of which had stepped out in front of my car. Separate incidents, of course... if it'd been at the same time, that would have been really weird.
