There are members of both parties telling us that we can't bridge the gap between the two; that we can't stay true to our ideals without demonizing those who have a different perspective; that we can't come together, united around our common goals, hopes and dreams, rise above the pettiness, fear, and disillusionment of the past, find creative solutions to problems, and usher in a brighter tomorrow for our country and the world...
