XIDED.com now online

Category xided
As promised, a few screenshots of XIDED (or, as Laura calls it, "XNERD") are now available. I finally got around to registering XIDED.com, which for the time being simply takes the form of a domBulletin instance. We'll fancy it up later.

In the meantime, wander on by, check out the pretty pictures, and post any feature requests and/or questions you have about the product. I also put up a couple of polls to identify which browsers and operating systems most folks would like to see supported. In theory, it should run fine on any operating system that runs any of the supported browsers, so this may be partly moot. But I'm curious anyway. If I get a lot of "Other" replies, I may expand the choices a bit, but I think the main players are already represented.

Mostly I'm trying to get a feel for the level of interest. There seems to be some curiosity but not a whole lot of buzz, and I'm wondering just how many people are eagerly anticipating its availability. If it turns out that I'm just developing this for my own use, that's fine, because I know it will come in handy once it's complete. I just won't be in as big of a hurry to get 'er done. But if plenty of you are impatient to start using it, I'll do my best to wrap up the initial release in the near future.
