What a great idea.

I like it. Curt's right, just because Notes can do something doesn't necessarily mean it should. I've occasionally seen perception of the product take a nosedive when it's asked to do something that it never should have. But I still feel that the biggest slight to the product is unawareness of what it happens to be very good at. It's ridiculously versatile.
So here's my contribution to this concept. It's a database that stores links to examples of what Notes (yes, and Domino) can do, and displays them categorically as a topic cloud. The code that creates the cloud is based on a recent SnTT from Thomas Adrian, although this stores the data as HTML instead of rich text. Just by plugging in a few OpenNTF projects, it already displays 23 categories. Within each category, it distinguishes between applications and utilities, as well as free vs. commercial (although I've only entered OpenNTF examples so far, so naturally they're all listed as free). As time permits, I'll be adding in any links I can find to examples that show off what Notes/Domino can do... feel free to suggest any that you don't see listed, either as a comment here or in an email, as well as correcting any incorrect categorization that you find. For all you vendors out there, this is free advertising...
