Rocking out at the OGS

The Orlando Symphony Orchestra has been jamming with Red Box Panic, including one heck of a Zeppelin cover. The energy and anticipation are palpable. Stay tuned.
Bob Costas just took the stage.
"Facts and information alone are not knowledge and truth"... how very true.
Rhodin's back, explaining that collaboration has evolved from a document-centric to a people-centric concept, and is becoming ever more community-centric. Collaboration drives innovation. Until now, the tools haven't leveraged natural human tendencies. That's where enterprise social software comes in.
Just got in a dig about "competitors" wasting billions on search, just so they too can provide a glut of information, but without meaningful context.
IBM and RIM have entered into some agreement.... looks like Connections may get a compelling BlackBerry interface.
Rhodin and the CTO of SAP just announced an initiative being called "Atlantic", which will be a product jointly developed by SAP and Lotus.
...Jeff Eisen just announced that Notes will soon be supported on Ubuntu.
8.0.1 will include a widget wizard, allowing any Google Gadget to be easily added to the Notes sidebar. Widgets can be emailed between users, and the recipient can drag the received widget to their sidebar.
The iPhone interface to DWA looks fairly decent. Not the miniature Notes client some had been hoping for, but still pretty cool.
8.5 features: ID management will allow ID's to be stored in a "vault". New data store will automatically remove duplicate attachments, with an estimated mail file size reduction of 35%.
Maureen Leland about to demo the new Designer.... Discussion template looks MUCH better. New "xPage" design element. Demo of how easy it is to re-skin and add Ajax elements to pages.
Designer in Eclipse RCP will ship with 8.5... I just drooled a little.
Bummer, battery dying. Head over to my BleedYellow.com blog for more...
